Mixed-media poetry exhibition “Mezzo-Nights”, Brussels, Belgium
Konningen Galerie Brussels
Viewers were invited to discover the collection of visualised poetry produced by a Tongeren-based Russian-Belgian tandem, whose practice is linked to an exploration and visualisation of the written word by means of photography, voice and film. Printed poems mingle with photos, paintings, moving image and audio-performances.
The authors acknowledge the inspirational role that environment plays in their creative process. Observing midnights in Tongeren and silent daytime at ‘Het Vinne’, they write, photograph, film, voice-over the everyday impressions that reflect their imagination.
